This is the bridge deck, taken from below the North Tower.  You can just see the base of the South Tower in the distance.  The deck holds a two-lane dual carriageway plus a footpath on either side.

How wide do you think it is in metres?

On the screen, measure the width of the deck at the top of the picture and the width at the South tower.  Work out the ratio of the two measurements.  Does this tell you anything?
